Tragedy struck on December 1, 1974 as TWA Flight 514 from Indianapolis to Columbus crashed into the west slope of Mount Weather, killing all 85 passengers and 7 crew members. Since that fateful day there have been reports of strange phenomena in the area of the crash. Visitors have reported feeling as though they were being pushed by invisible forces, hearing phantom screaming, and seeing glowing apparitions moving about the forest.
