Fantastic Debut

This was a first time event for The ARTFactory of Manassas, and I was truly impressed with what they managed to do and how much fun was to be had while being scared. There was a lot of cleverness and creativity behind this attraction, and they have a lot to be proud of. I hope they return next Halloween!

Wow! Spread across four floors, each level was packed with frights, jump scares, and spooky characters who were incredibly dedicated to their roles. The atmosphere was immersive and thrilling, making every moment a heart-pounding adventure. The attention to detail and the enthusiasm of the actors truly brought the haunted house to life. I can't wait to see how this attraction evolves and grows in the future. If you're a fan of haunted houses, this is definitely one you don't want to miss!

So Fun

This was such a nice haunted house! I live in the area and it was amazing to not have to drive so far to get to experience Halloween fun. Haunted houses are my favorite!Definitely scary, the costumes were great, and I loved that there were some creepy kids there too.

What a great time!

We had an absolute blast at this walk-thru haunted house! And this was their first year putting it together. The scares were perfectly timed, and the actors were incredibly immersive, bringing the spooky atmosphere to life (especially the twins from The Shining). Each room was uniquely designed, making every twist and turn an exciting surprise. A thrilling experience that truly delivered on chills and fun! Highly recommend!

Outstanding Haunted House Experience! Fun Scary!

We truly enjoyed the Haunted House experience at the art Factory. Very well done! Scare actors were enthusiastic and surprising at times. Costumes and sets on all floors were well done and eye catching-even in the misty, low light darkness. We thought it was great. Very well done scary fun!

Very disappointed in the attraction

Traveled about an hour to this location and was not impressed by the attraction. If you are into theatre/play style this would be perfect for you or your family, very kid friendly! Will give credit to the set designs and the creativity of the actors; however, just wasn’t for me. I do hope my admission funds went to a good cause. By possibly supporting the art factory and the young child actors.

For a first year haunt, it was good. I had a couple of jump scares and the haunted forest was my favorite part. Timing was a bit off and running late but I'm thinking that was a good thing with so many people attending.

Awesome fright night

We had a blast in this 4 level house of horrors! Great set up with lots of monsters, lights, fog, and jump scares. Great for any age. The creepiest part was easily the child monsters who were crazy good...walking upside down on their hands and knees and more. Highly recommend.

Spooktacular!

But in all honesty this was an AMAZING experience that I wish could have been longer. Every floor is well created and detailed to a specific theme. The only thing that was better than the props and scenery were the outstanding performers.

Terrifying Good Time

Love the actors -they were awesome! Added so much to the flow of the haunt and larger concept for the event. Very creative! Amazing transformation of the art factory. I’ve been there many times and I couldn’t have imagined all the changes to make it happen.

ARTfactory, a center for art, theater, and dance in historic Old Town Manassas, turns into Factory of Fear for two nights in October. Visitors take a mostly self-guided tour in small groups through its four floors, meeting a variety of gruesome scenes, jump scares, and audio-visual effects.The experience is not completely immersive, as the stairs between floors are fully lit. But each floor is a dark maze of hanging obstacles and winding turns, keeping visitors unsure of where the next actor lurks. The echoing screams, whispers, bangs, and thumps are very effective and disorienting. Many of the performers are very good, particularly the children -- a young boy penned up like a pig for slaughter, screaming and begging for help; a wraith-like ballerina twisting into unsettling body positions; and two girls as the twins from The Shining, sing-songing in eerie unison and moving in menacing syncrony.While not the most intense of haunts, there's a charming feeling of community surrounding Factory of Fear. Obviously, YMMV but this could be the perfect first haunt for tweens ready for theatrical gore and might even spark an interest in performance or behind-the-scenes skills.

Better than Kings Dominion Haunt

This was a great haunted house put on by our local theater. The scenes were great and very creative. I don’t get spooked easily with these because I’m a 53 year old man but the little twin girls and the white ghoul creeped the heck out of me…. Well done.

Strategic Scares!

The decor and lighting and noise were on point but the best thing was how strategic the people were set up to scare you. Voice is raspy from screaming! Love it

Very underwhelming - expected alot more for the money

was really excited to visit this haunted house after hearing a lot of hype, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations. From the start, the atmosphere felt lackluster, and instead of building suspense, the experience relied heavily on predictable jump scares. After a few of those, it became easy to guess when and where the next one would happen.The set design was underwhelming, with some areas looking more like unfinished props than a convincing haunted space. Even the actors seemed disconnected—they mostly walked by or yelled instead of really trying to engage or create a creepy vibe. It felt like they were just going through the motions.What I was hoping for was a truly immersive experience, something that would make me feel nervous with every turn. Instead, I walked through the entire thing without once feeling startled or uneasy. It could really benefit from better sound design, more creative scares, and actors who are more committed to their roles.All in all, I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. I understand that haunted houses might not scare everyone the same way, but this one just didn’t hit the mark. Hopefully, they make improvements in the future.This version is fair, constructive, and direct while remaining respectful.

Fun, suitable for a younger audience

Great fun, it was my daughter’s first haunted house. Didn’t want to over do it, but I think we have a few more to hit up after great time she had.

Creepy

I found it to be a 7 out of 10 for fear factor. I screamed a least three times . Creepy people in very cool costumes through the haunt and highly recommend a visit. Entering down the back basement stairs even creeped me out😳😝

Fear of Factory

The factory has been transformed into a four-story haunted house filled with terror, each floor features a unique scene that creatively advances the overall narrative. It’s an impressively executed haunt that we thoroughly enjoyed for its eerie atmosphere. If you go…don’t let the butcher catch you!!! Highly recommend.

Enjoyed it a lot but not too notable.

The set design is really cool and there were plenty of great scares, but those scares seemed to only really affect the person in the very front of the line. I also wish it was a bit longer because it felt like it ended whenever it just started.

Firstly I have to say that the scare actors knocked it out of the park! Each room was creepier than the last and you never knew what was coming around the corner next!
