The Wayside Theatre in Middleton delighted audiences with live performances for over half a century, and is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a former caretaker who allegedly died in a fire. His spirit primarily manifests on the back-porch costume storage, the balcony, and the basement; Seat CC1 was often found to be mysteriously lowered as well. Unfortunately declining sales and harsh financial realities forced the theater to close in 2013.
